How booking works

We do not take a payment before we know a retreat is right for you. Booking is five steps, and the health review sits in the middle of them on purpose.

1. Submit your application. Start on the application page or write to us with the date you have in mind. We ask for your health history, current medications and your reasons for coming.
2. We review it. Our intake team reads every application and may come back with questions. Some conditions and medications rule out participation; others can be worked around with your doctor. The full list is on the safety page.
3. We tell you whether the retreat is suitable. If it is not, we say so, and where possible we suggest a different timing or preparation that would make it safe.
4. You confirm your place. You choose your dates and secure the booking with payment. Because groups never exceed five, dates close once they are full.
5. You receive the welcome package. Preparation materials, the seven-day diet, travel directions, a packing list and the pickup details for San Isidro del General.

Getting here and where you stay

The center is in the mountains near San Isidro del General, in the Pérez Zeledón region of southern Costa Rica. From Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José it is three and a half to four hours by road. Most guests take a private transfer, which we can arrange, or rent a car; we can also help with bus connections. From San Isidro del General itself we pick every guest up at no charge. Dominical and Uvita on the Pacific coast are under an hour away, so many guests add a few days at the beach before or after the retreat. Directions, maps and travel tips are on the location page.

Accommodation is included and comes in three forms, subject to availability when you book: a shared room with one or two other guests, a private room with its own bathroom, or a private cabin set a little apart on the land. All have quality linens, natural ventilation and mosquito protection, and all are quiet. Meals are vegan and organic, prepared from what grows here and on neighboring farms, and tailored to any allergy or restriction you tell us about in your application.

How much does an ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica cost?

At our center, a 4-day retreat with two ceremonies costs $2,500 and a 6-day retreat with three ceremonies costs $3,800, all-inclusive: accommodation, meals, ceremonies, integration sessions and pickup from San Isidro del General. A one-night ceremony is $750. Private retreats for your own group of up to five are priced on request. Across Costa Rica, prices range from a few hundred dollars for a short ceremony to more than $5,000 at large luxury centers.

Where is the retreat and how do I get there?

How do I get to your center in Costa Rica? Do you offer airport pickup?

Our center is nestled in the mountains near San Isidro del General, accessible via major routes. From Juan Santamaría Airport (SJO): 3.5-4 hours by private transfer or rental car. Transportation Options: We can arrange private transfers, provide detailed driving directions, or assist with bus connections to San Isidro del General. Local Pickup: We provide complimentary pickup from San Isidro del General for all guests.
